ANNEX 45/406 To:Secretary, J.I.C. British Participation in the War against Japan J.P. (45) 138 (S) The Strategical Planning Section is examining British participation in the war against Japan with the following assumptions:(a) Singapore is recaptured by November, 1945. (b) OLYMPIC takes place in December, 1945. (c) CORONET takes place in April, 1946. 2. They would like to know if there are any major changes in the previous appreciation "Japanese Strategy and Capacity to Resist" (J.I.C. (45) 136 (0)), with special reference to:(a) The reactions of the Japanese in the Inner and Outer Zone to the invasion of their main islands.
