ANNEX MAJOR GERMAN COASTAL FORTIFICATIONS AND A.A. GUN SITES IN DENMARK WEST COAST OF DENMARK German frontier to the Skaw. Heavy coastal batteries. On this coast there is a super heavy battery of four 38 cm. (14.9") guns mounted at Hantsholm, overlooking the Skagerrak, designed to link up with another heavy battery at Kristiansand South and so cover the width of the Skagerrak. 2. In addition there are two super heavy batteries, still under construction in April, 1945, covering the sea approaches to Esbjerg.
