4. This complete amorality is combined with punctilious regard for the formalities of life. They are obsessed with their oath to their Supreme Commander, HITLER, which forbids them even now to protest publicly against his actions. The word Ehre (honour), is seldom absent from their lips. The word, of course, does not mean what is in general fair and honourable, but, on the contrary, what is of advantage for GERMANY; and it can conveniently be stretched to justify any blackguardly act. 5. The Generals are alarmed that the United Nations have declared that militarism is to be extirpated in GERMANY.
