By the attaining of these objects and by continuing the war into the winter of 1945/46, the enemy might hope that the war-weary and discordant Allies would decide that Germany could never be subdued, or would fight among themselves. Future Strategy 7. For the Redoubt to be successful as a conception, the enemy must man it with the most fanatic of the Nazis. The average German soldier will not do. The garrison must consist of the war criminals, Gestapo and SS under 30 years of age; in fact the cream of the remaining manpower.
