ANNEX 45/223 SECRETARY, J.I.C. BRITISH PART IN FINAL PHASE OF THE WAR AGAINST JAPAN. You will see from J.P.(45) 69 (S) (T. of R.) that the Strategical Planning Section have been asked to review the courses of action which might be followed by British forces in the war against Japan after the capture of Singapore. 2. The areas in which operations may have to be undertaken are mainly:Siam Indo China Hong Kong Sumatra Java Borneo Andamans and Nicobars Celebes Other Islands of the Netherlands East Indies.
