7. Admiral Mountbatten is also opposed to this project because he believes that if General Wedemeyer were to provide the air lift required for the plan, he would draw on the American air resources now supporting operations in S.E.A.C., claiming with the support of the U.S. Chiefs of Staff that these resources re, in fact, at his disposal. 8. S.I.S., supported by the Admiralty, are strongly opposed to the extension of guerilla activities as they consider that this would upset their coast-watching organisation.
