Scale of Naval and Air Attack on Ceylon. Note by Sec.

1 Mar 1945

ANNEX SECRETARY, JOINT INTELLIGENCE SUB-COMMITTEE A revised Defence Plan for Ceylon is being prepared. Before the Air Ministry can contribute their portion, they require a new scale of air attack. In your last report J.I.C.(44) 399(O) (FINAL) you referred to the likelihood of a decrease in the scale of air attack after March, 1945. Could you at the same time please revise the scale of naval threat which was last quoted in J.I.C.(44) 330(FINAL). (Signed) E.G.S. ELLIOT, Joint Secretary, Defence of Bases Committee.
