Reference the above paper, the Strategical Planning Section would be grateful if the Joint Intelligence Staff would provide them with more detailed information as to the increased value of the Kiel Canal to the Germans as a result of the deterioration of their military position. In particular they would like information on the following points :(a) What type of shipping is at present using the Kiel Canal, and what increase in tonnage, by categories if possible, has recently taken place.
