1 Jan 1945

three aircraft at a time. Bomber recce. aircraft might make occasional attacks on any Allied shipping sighted on passage to N. Borneo. 8. It is unlikely that any aircraft still based in E.N.E.I. or Java-Bali-Lombok will be used to reinforce Borneo and no reinforcements from other areas need be expected. 9. The forces shown in paragraph 6 above are likely to continue steadily to decline after 1st April. (Signed) v. CAVENDISH-BENTINCK E.G.N. RUSHBROOKE J.A. SINCLAIR F.F.
