Argentine Assistance to Germany Report by J.I.C.

1 Jan 1945

HIDING OF GERMAN ASSETS UNDER ARGENTINE COVER 8. For long there have been rumours that the personal fortunes of German leaders were being hidden away in the Argentine. Every case in which there has been any allegation sufficiently definite to be capable of investigation has been followed up and in no case has it been possible to obtain any confirmation of the veracity of the report. It cannot be asserted that no German assets are hidden in Argentine but if so we believe that it is without Government connivance.
