ANNEX FORCES AND TIME REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE PROPOSED PHOTOGRAPHIC RECONNAISSANCE PROGRAMME 1. First Priority It is estimated that the force required to obtain basic cover on the scale 1: 50,000 (with selected areas at 1: 15,000) of Germany, Austria, Hungary, France, Czechoslovakia and the industrial area of Poland West of the Vistula in three summer months would be 7 squadrons of Mosquito aircraft or 2½ squadrons of bomber aircraft. 2. Second Priority The time which it would take one squadron of bombers to obtain basic cover on the scale of 1: 50,000 is estimated to be as follows for each of the following areas:(a) Areas of German 1 summer month Occupied Italy not already photographed (b) Bulgaria and 2½ summer months Roumania (c) Norway, Denmark and 2½ summer months Belgium and Holland (d) Greece and 4½ summer months Turkey (e) Spain and 3½ summer months Portugal (f) Sweden 2½ summer months (g) Switzerland 2 Weeks 3.
