5th November. More recently, heavy restrictions have been imposed on the use of wireless apparently over the whole of the Western front. (6) Important troop transports were to detrain on the night of 3rd November, and also on 4th and 6th November in the general area Cologne Trier. The G.A.F. priority commitment for this period was fighter cover for this detraining. POSSIBLE GERMAN INTENTIONS. 9. The Germans must appreciate that the Allies, now that they have cleared the German forces from the Scheldt estuary, are in a position to launch and sustain a major offensive in the West.
