ANNEX COMBINED INTELLIGENCE OBJECTIVES SUB-COMMITTEE BASIC DIRECTIVE (App. A to Encl. A of C.C.S. 633, amended by C.I.C.50/16) ORGANIZATION 1. The Combined Intelligence Committee pursuant to instructions of the Combined Chiefs of Staff hereby establishes in London a Combined Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee (C.I.O.S.) as a permanent subcommittee for the purposes indicated herein. MEMBERSHIP 2. The Combined Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee shall consist of a military chairman designated by the Supreme Commander, Allied Expeditionary Forces, and of one member designated by each of the following authorities: United Kingdom The Foreign Office The Director of Naval Intelligence The Director of Military Intelligence The Assistant Chief of Air Staff, Intelligence The Ministry of Economic Warfare The Ministry of Supply The Ministry of Aircraft Production United States The Department of State The Assistant Chief of Staff, G-2, W.D.G.S.
