German Plans for Underground Operations Following Surrender. (Draft Report by U.S. J.I.C.)

1 Aug 1944

(f) It is known that the SS have collected arms and ammunition now in secret storage. 3. The probable organization, strength and methods of operations of the underground movement. We believe that the post-war Nazi underground will probably be not only national, but even worldwide in scope. It will be centrally directed, but in the early stages will consist of semi-autonomous local units rather than an integrated mass movement. The Nazi organization is likely to follow in general the methods which brought it to power in 1933.
