JOINT INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE (ALLIED FORCE) JIC(AF)/8/44 9 August 1944 SUBJECT: Division of Responsibilities between JIC(AF) and JIC(ME). 1. JIC(AF) is responsible for advising the Supreme Allied Commander on all matters of Balkan Intelligence. JIC(ME) will from time to time be asked by JIC(AF) to study special points concerning the areas in which G.H.Q. Middle East is directly interested. 2. JIC(ME) will continue to advise the Commander in Chief, Middle East, on intelligence matters relative to the areas for which G.H.Q.
