in trade between Germany and Norway and along the Norwegian coast. 120,000 G,R.T. of troop transports are still retained in service with Norway, of which about 37,000 are required for the German Army in the far North. 10. Of the total of 1,300,000 G.R.T. actively engaged in trade in Northern Waters, at least 400,000 G.R,T. is situated at any one time West of the Kiel Canal in the Southern North Sea. 11. The foregoing figures take no account of the considerable number of small craft and warships of all kind which might be used for evacuating personnel, though notequipment.
