The Bulgars know that the insistence of the Turks on the pre-war frontiers, i.e. a common Turkish-Greek frontier, would put an end to Bulgaria's ambitions in Greek Thrace. The Bulgars could be rallied to fight only two countries with enthusiasm Greece and Turkey. Severance of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Germany would almost certainly be interpreted by Bulgaria as a threat to herself. Against any purely Turkish threat Bulgarian patriotism could easily be aroused.
