3 ANNEX. EFFECT OF THE ALLIED BOMBING OFFENSIVE IN WEAKENING GERMAN RESISTANCE TO "OVERLORD." 1. Information on German aircraft production, and on the effect of the attacks on the industry, during April and May is unsatisfactory. Estimates of output, therefore, are entirely tentative and subject to revision, particularly in the case of S.E.F., for which the figures for production, wastage and reserves are at present under review. Present evidence suggests that, despite the attacks during April, the flow of operational aircraft from factories during that month was higher than in March, probably for the following reasons :— (a) During April, factories at Regensburg (Me.
