Subjects covered in this file include assessments of the possible German resistance to Operation Overlord; military situation assessments for the Eastern Front and South East Europe; a debate over whether to bomb Rome; the organisation and capabilities of the Polish and French resistance movements; the sharing of intelligence with the Soviet Union and United States of America; German secret weapons, including missiles and poison gas; Allied strategy and operations planning for the Pacific War; targets for aerial attack in the Balkans; and Axis oil shortages.
