German Intentions in Balkans - S.O.E. Report. Note by the Secretary

MOST SECRET S.O.E. TELEGRAM FROM:CAIRO. Dated:1st February, 1944, No: 1001 Reported by Tito and confirmed by Secret Partisan sources that German circles in Balkans expect Allied invasion Spring 1944 and have divided East Adriatic Coast into operational zones with 4 German Divisions on Croat Coast and one on Montenegro. Behind these are 373 German-Croat Div. in BosankaKrajina and 369 German-Croat Div. Sarajevo area, task of the latter being to secure rear of Coastal Divs. and defend railway lines Bos.Novi, Bihac, Knin, Split, and Brod Sarajevo, Mostar, Dubrovnik.
