available on the Russian front. 6. Russian Strategy. The location of Russian reserves suggests that in addition to a number of subsidiary thrusts three major offensives may be as follows:(a) From Nevel area towards Pskov and Dvinsk. (b) From the Rechitsa area towards Brest Litovsk. (c) From the Kiev Salient with primary object to cut the Lwow-Odessa railway and then exploit southwards. 7. German Strategy.
