We have been asked to express an opinion as to whether the bombing attacks on Sofia are likely to have the desired effect, i.e. to cause Bulgaria seriously to consider suing for peace or at least withdrawing her forces from Yugoslavia and Greece. We report as follows: 2. Effect on Bulgaria of Bombing There has been very little information which indicates the effect of the bombing effort so far directed against Sofia.
