"Crossbow". Third Report by J.I.C.

1 Nov 1943

A N N E X Progress of Photographic Intelligence 1. During the past week a considerable alteration has been made to the programme of photographic reconnaissance. The fact that greater certainty was felt about the function of the ski sites coupled with the fact that unfavourable weather conditions had greatly hampered the search for new sites decided the Committee to shift the emphasis from routine cover of known sites to the task of photographing areas which had so far not been covered. To this end, the programme of weekly routine tasks has been greatly reduced, many of the sites previously on this programme having now been transferred to a fortnightly programme.
