The general principle governing these visits should be that information given should be limited strictly to that which will assist in the immediate prosecution of the War. Under this directive Chinese would only get:All information and publications about weapons and equipment issued, or to be issued shortly, to Chinese Land Forces, but directive also gives special licence for additional disclosure in cases of distinguished visitors to U.K. under which mission 1 (a) might be classed. 4. It is considered desirable especially as regards 1(a) that before granting the desired facilities agreement should be reached with U.S.
