In addition, there are vague indications that up to 3 additional divisions may be destined for the Italian Command, bringing the above total to a maximum of 28, and latest reports show that some of these also may be destined now for Russia. in fact, the situation in Russia is likely to have a dominating influence for some time to come. 4. There are three sources on which the Germans might draw for further reinforcement for Italy:(a) Russia. In the light of the present situation we do not believe that the Germans can afford to reduce the number of divisions at present in Russia.
