Combined Planners here requested C.I.C. to furnish as soon as possible appreciation of situation as it would exist from enemy's point of view in Mediterranean on following assumptions:(a) Rome in our hands and fighting proceeding north of Rome and south of line Ravenna Pisa. (b) Situation on Russian front continues to develop favourably for United Nations. (c) Guerilla activities in Balkan-Aegean area continue on at least present scale. 2. May we please have your views?
