4. The following task is, therefore, remitted to the Joint Staffs:Assumptions (a) Land and air operations for the capture of Upper Burma are launched in mid-February 1944 as agreed at Quadrant. (b) Offensive defensive operations are carried out on the Arakan coast in the Spring 1944. (c) Bullfrog and Lynchpin are cancelled and the resources allotted at Quadrant for amphibious operations from India are available. (d) United States Operations in the Pacific proceed as agreed at Quadrant. Task for the J.I.S.
