(c) That the U.S. Staff Planners are to prepare, in collaboration with a team of three British Officers, the study called for by paragraph 44 of the final report. 3. No immediate action appears to be necessary on paras. 2 (a) and (c) above. The essential seems to be that we should get on with the tasks undertaken by the British Directors of Plans in (b), which involve study and report on the following operations and their relation one to another:(a) An operation against Northern Sumatra; target date Spring 1944.
