Annex 1. We are investigating the most effective operations, based on North Italy, which will delay or prevent German reinforcement against "OVERLORD". 2. Making the following assumptions (a) Italy out of the war. (b) Germans holding the general line of the Maritime Alps and positions covering Venetia and the Tyrol.
