(d) The Allies are containing the Japanese in the New Guinea Bismarck Archipelago area. (e) The Allies have captured the Marshalls and the Carolines, and are operating against the Marianas, and Pelews. (f) The Allies have cleared the Aleutians but no active operations are in hand from there, nor from N.W. Australia, though deception plans and occasional raids are being undertaken in those areas. (g) The situation in China is as at present but U.S. air forces have been increased and the lift of the air transport route has risen substantially.
