German Withdrawal from Norway Note by the Secretary

(b) What Allied forces do the J.I.C. estimate will be required to re-establish the authority of the Norwegian Government, in addition to the very small Norwegian forces available in this country and the United States. ANNEX "B" Reference Annex "A" 1. Our Ops Branch would also be very grateful if the J.I.C. could in their paper consider whether on the economic side, there are any supplies or materials which we shall want to get out of Norway and in consequence, whether we should have to occupy early, any specific areas.
