The opinion of a soi-disant technical officer of the German army in Norway was that the only chance of Germany losing the war was if she failed to capture Grozny and set it in operation by March 1943. (January) 0 10. Confirmation has been received of the report that one of the purposes of Dr. Funk's visit to Bucharest was to urge the Rumanian Government to reduce internal consumption and increase the supplies available to Germany. He is reported to have been disappointed with the results of his visit.
