A N N E X. The Directors of Plans have directed the Strategical Planning Section to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages of seizing the Portuguese Atlantic Islands in order to obtain the requirements specified in paragraph 2 of J.P.(43) 88 (FINAL). 2. The Strategical Planning Section would be glad to have the views of the Joint Intelligence Staff on the probable Axis, Portuguese and Spanish reactions in these circumstances. 3.
