Azores (C.B. 4096 M.) Horta: Two batteries of 6" guns, range 12,000 yards. Anti-torpedo net could be laid at short notice. 1 Heavy A/A battery. Ponta Delgarda: One 6" battery, range 12,000 yards. Anti-torpedo net could be laid at short notice. 2 heavy A/A batteries sited at aerodrome, and 1 near town. Madeira (C.B. 4076 M.) Funchal: one 6" battery, range 12,000 yards. 2 Heavy A/A batteries. Cape Verde Islands (C.B. 4096 M.) Porto Grande: Two Batteries (6" and 4.7" guns) A/A probably Bofors, or possibly one heavy battery.
