3. Considering first the Cypher Security Sub-Committee's activities: this sub-Committee has had over 50 meetings and in general site once a fortnight, under the chairmanship of Commander Travis. As a result of recommendations made at a meeting of the Panel on Security Arrangements in Government Departments, held on the 20th October, 1942, (S.(42) 7th Meeting (0)), the Inter-Services Cypher Security Sub-Committee has been enlarged to include representatives from all cypher using Government Departments and has been re-named "Cypher Security Committee".
