ANNEX. PART I OIL DIFFICULTIES IN THE ARMED FORCES A. Air Force 1. 50 lorries employed on construction work at the Beauvechain aerodrome in Belgium have been replaced by horse drawn transport. (June) 2. An informant employed by a Dutch building contractor who carried out extensive works for the Wehrmacht on aerodromes and military barracks in various parts of Holland had reported that from November 1941 until January 1942 the shortage of petrol was very marked. Many of his firm's undertakings were greatly delayed owing to lack of supplies from Germany and its monthly ration was reduced from 25,000 to 10,000 litres.
