ANNEX OIL TARGETS IN AXIS-OCCUPIED EUROPE OIL INDUSTRY EQUIPMENT. Momorandum by the Technical Sub-Committee on Axis Oil. In J.I.C.(42) 382 (0) + reference was made to the large quantities of oil industry equipment that will be required to meet the intensive effort to increase oil supplies in Axis Europe. 2. Any intensive development of the captured oilfields in the Caucasus will necessitate the use of a large number of drilling outfits. Furthermore, their subsequent maintenance, and the continuous supply of expendable items such as drilling bits, casing etc., will be a formidable tasks 3.
