5. There has been a movement of a certain number of German aircraft from Sicily to Crete and also from Sicily to Libya. 10-15 F.W. 200's, which have been moved from the Bordeaux area, are to be used in the Mediterranean for transport traffic to Africa. 40-50 long-range bombers are expected to move to Sicily from Germany and Italy including some torpedo bombers. This reinforcement does not imply that the enemy has correctly appreciated our intentions as regards "TORCH". 6. French forces in North and West Africa are on the alert.
