(b) In the event of a German invasion of the Caucasus. 200 Long range bombers operating by night from Northern Iran and Northern Iraq and giving maximum scale of 60 to 70 sorties or a sustained scale of 30 40 sorties. (c) In the event of a German invasion of the Caucasus and thence southwards to Iran and Iraq coupled with the invasion of Turkey. 270 300 Long range bombers operating by night and giving a maximum scale of 90 100 sorties, or a sustained scale of 40 50 sorties. (d) In the event of the Germans operating from aerodromes in Southern Iran and southern Iraq Heavy sustained attack by both day and night, the former with Fighter escort.
