4. It appears that the conditions, under which a re-entry into FRANCE could be made, described in para 2 and amplified in para 3 above, differ very little from those submitted to the Joint Intelligence Staff under Hypothesis B, referred to in para 1(ii) above. 5. It is therefore requested that the J.I.C. may be asked :(a) Does the small variation between the conditions, under which the Combined Commanders consider 'ROUND-UP' would be feasible, and Hypothesis B in the paper J.I.C.(42) 193 (Final), cause any alteration to the opinions expressed by the Joint Intelligence Staff under Hypothesis B in that Appreciation.
