From an aggregate figure of casualties sustained on all fronts by all services collectively: (a) We should be able to deduce approximately the permanent and temporary losses to the respective services, the extent of the resultant withdrawal of labour from industry and eventually the general effect on the fighting value of each service consequent upon reinforcement.
