ANNEX. 1. EVIDENCE. (i) Although there is sufficient tonnage available in the present circumstances, there will only be restricted shipping available for transportation of stores to Libya after the middle of June. (ii) A land, sea and air attack on Tobruk is planned to take place about the end of May, to be followed later, about mid June, by further operations. (iii) Training in combined operations on a small scale is being carried out in Italy. (iv) An Italian Eighth Army has been formed for operations overseas, which is unlikely to mean Russia.
