C. 3.(Q/422) The German intelligence discovered too late the importance of the Murmansk route. Six specially equipped American Armd.Divs. had already landed. 4.(Q/423) 250 AA guns had been sent mostly from Essen to protect French war industries. A further 250 will be delivered to strengthen the Channel defences. 5.(Q/425) Fourteen of the complement of forty-eight of the U.131 taken prisoner were found to be partially blinded as a result of the schnapps consumed on board their U-boat. ITALY. 1.(Q/441) The German Admiral on board the Littorio in the engagement of the 23rd March was not court-martialled.
