(Q/18) The American Navy Department ordered six capital ships with escort to sail for Iceland, putting in at St. John's, Newfoundland. They forgot that the fleet would be signalled by the wireless at St. Pierre and Miquelon, but Admiral Muselier did not forget. 8. (Q/19) The vanguard of the U.S. long-range submarine flotilla is already on the high seas. It is capable of eight weeks continuous cruising. 9. (Q/20) The naval laboratory at Nagasaki is working overtime to produce a counter to the American beamless searchlight.
