General Wavell's Command - Intelligence Arrangements

ANNEX. (a) Cipher Staff. Cipher Staff will be provided as follows:(i) Navy personnel from H.M.S. Prince of Wales and Repulse. C.-in-C. Eastern Fleet will be instructed accordingly. (ii) Army personnel should be drawn from C.-in-C. Far East. This staff consists of two cipher officers one W.O.2 and three sergeants. Consider you will need in addition one officer one W.O.2 and 3 sergeants. If G.O.C. Malaya cannot spare these suggest you find from India. (iii) Air A.O.C.-in-C. Far East may be called upon to assist.
