(ii) The Philippines, and particularly of Manila, in View of the sea and air threat from that area to the long communications from Japan to Indo-China, Thailand and Malaya; (iii) Hang-Kong. (b) The repetition of air attack on Hawaii so as to impede the repair of American naval units are the dockyard, and thereby to secure Japan from attack from the East. Other Operations. 7. (a) Operations which might be carried out simultaneously with or independently of the above:(i) An attack on Sourabaya so as to destroy the submarine base.
