C. L. 7. One category of German frostbite cases is known as Russian eunuchs. ITALY. 1. The pay of the Italian army in Libya has been raised all right, but their rations have been reduced again. 2. The Axis Libyan armies are being left to fend for themselves and the few ships that have crossed this week have been evacuating German personnel. 3. Hitler has told Mussolini that the Libyan Armies must be written off as those in Abyssinia were. All supplies and reinforcements are needed for Russia. 4. A convoy of Italian reinforcements that left amid loud cheers "to reinforce the gallant besiegers of Tobruk" found themselves disembarking at the Piraeus and were fighting in the Crimea within three weeks.
