Operation 'Pilgrim'. Memorandum by the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee

1 Aug 1941

(c) That the troops remaining in this country should be told that earlier plans are cancelled, and that they are being trained over the winter for whatever plans may mature in the spring. (d) That the names of the Operation and Force should be changed. (e) That the Commander of the Force should be requested to do whatever is practicable, consistent with training and other requirements, to prevent the components of the Force being regarded as one assault Force. For instance, the splitting up of the Force might be considered.
