German Invasion of the British Isles. Note by the Secretary

1 Aug 1941

Until the bridgehead is well established and A/A defences installed the use of a port in enemy territory is not an operation of war with an active enemy air force in existence. 11. No remarks. 12. The GERMANS must already have large scale air photographs of the Coast and also the latest pre-war maps and are unlikely to be deceived by conspicuous dummy roads. 13. Units of the GERMAN Army are organised and trained to work as self-contained bodies for a short time and their initial movement inland will not be delayed.
