Rumours of a Military Nature Intended to Mystify and Mislead the Enemy. Note by the Secretary

1 Jun 1941

Serial No. Suggestions. Submitted by Remarks by I.S.S.B. (i) (j) (k) All dockyard workers at Danzig and Gotenhaven are to be transferred to Horten and Oslo at the end of the month. Their wives and children will not go with them. Note: Suggested by N.I.D. Members of the Tody organisation working in Brest and Lorient have been refused decorations for gallantry during British Air-raids because of the jealousy of naval officers through whom recommendations have to go. Note: Suggested by N.I.D. Captain Rogge's crew, which sailed on a raider expedition 18 months ago, have not been heard of since.
